BigMint's billet index slipped by INR 150/t, settled at INR 39,250/t exw-Raipur on 21 February, 2024. About 2,500 t of transactions were recorded on 21 February as against 1,250 t on 20 February.

Indian sponge iron prices edged down by INR 50-250/t in major locations. PDRI market prices closed at a range of INR 24,650-27,400/t and CDRI prices, at INR 26,050-31,000/t. Only 6,000 t of sponge iron transactions were recorded in the country on 21 February compared to 22,300 t on 20 February.

BigMint's bi-weekly index for Fe 63% concentrate currently stand at INR 5,700/t ($69/t) exw, stable as against the last assessment on 17 February, 2024.
