BigMint's Daily Trade Sheet - 21 Aug'24

BigMint's weekly iron ore concentrate index was steady at INR 4,000/tonne (t) ($48/t) ex-works, unchanged from the last assessment on 17 August.

BigMint's domestic end-cutting scrap index tracking the Mandi Gobindgarh market rose by INR 100/t to INR 37,600/t DAP on 21 August, 2024.

India's sponge iron market saw a price increase, ranging from INR 50-400/tonne (t) across key locations. PDRI prices were assessed at INR 24,000-26,700/t at the close of trading, while CDRI prices stood at INR 26,350-30,000/t. Approximately 8,000 t of sponge iron transactions were recorded in India, down from 15,600 t on 21 August.
