Sponge iron prices fell by INR 50-500/t in almost all key locations across India on 2 May, 2024. About 12,530 t of sponge iron transactions were recorded in the country on 2 May compared to 16,400 t on 1 May.

BigMint's weekly Indian low-grade iron ore fines (Fe 57%) export index remained stable w-o-w at $65.5/t FOB east coast on 2 May 2024.
