BigMint's Daily Trade Sheet - 19 Mar'24

BigMint's bi-weekly domestic pellet (Fe 63%) index remained stable at INR 9,200/t DAP ($109/t) Raipur on 19 March 2024 compared to the last assessment on 16 March. Around 11,000 t deals were recorded in this publishing window.

India's sponge iron prices moved up in the range of INR 50-250/t in almost all key regions. PDRI market prices closed at a range of INR 25,000-26,500/t and CDRI prices, at INR 26,350-30,800/t. About 21,650 t of sponge iron transactions were recorded in the country on 19 March compared to 16,780 t on 18 March.

The latest report from BigMint, dated 19 March, 2024, highlighted an upswing in domestic end-cutting scrap prices in Mandi Gobindgarh steel market, climbing slightly by INR 200/t to INR 36,600/t DAP.
