BigMint's Daily Trade Sheet - 12 July'24

BigMint's bi-weekly domestic pellet (Fe63%) index dropped by INR 200/t ($2/t) to INR 9,150/t ($110/t) DAP Raipur on 12 July, 2024 compared to the last assessment on 9 July. Around 25,000 t of deals for pellets (Fe 62.5+/-0.5%) were concluded from Odisha and Raigarh by Raipur-based steelmakers at INR 8,500-9,000/t DAP Raipur in this publishing window.

BigMint's domestic end-cutting scrap index in the Mandi Gobindgarh market increased by INR 800/tonne (t) to INR 38,100/t DAP on 12 July, 2024.

India's sponge iron market witnessed an increase in prices ranging from INR 200-500/t in all key locations. PDRI prices were assessed at INR 24,400-26,900/t and CDRI prices were at INR 26,300-30,200/t. About 10,400 tonnes (t) of sponge iron transactions were recorded in India on 12 July compared to 20,350 t on 11 July.
