Bigmint's billet index was assessed at INR 40,200/t exw-Raipur, down by INR 200/t, 11 March, 2024. About 1,400 t of transactions were recorded on 11 March as against 2,050 t on 9 March.

BigMint's ferrous scrap index on 11 March, 2024, showed a decline in domestic end-cutting scrap prices at Mandi Gobindgarh steel market, dropping by INR 200/t to INR 37,700/t for DAP basis.

Sponge iron prices in all key domestic markets dropped in the range of INR 50-500/t on 11 March, 2024. PDRI market prices closed at a range of INR 25,100-27,300/t and CDRI prices, at INR 26,650-31,000/t. About 13,780 t of sponge iron transactions were recorded in the country on 11 March compared to 9,360 t on 9 March.
