BigMint's weekly iron ore concentrate index stood at INR 4,200/t ($50/t) ex-works, up by INR 300/t ($4/t) compared to the last assessment on 28 September 2024.

BigMint's bi-weekly domestic pellet (Fe63%) index increased by INR 700/t ($8/t) to INR 9,800/t ($117/t) DAP Raipur on 1 October 2024 compared to the last assessment on 27 September. A deal of 78,000 t of pellets was recorded at INR 9,500-9,950/t ($110-119/t) DAP Raipur in this publishing window.

Sponge iron prices in India showed mixed trends today, rising by INR 50-600/tonne (t) across various regions. PDRI prices closed within a range of INR 26,900-28,100/t. On the other hand, CDRI prices were assessed at INR 28,300-32,000/t. A total of only 5,450 t of sponge iron deals were recorded as compared to 30,220 t on 30 September.
