Bhushan Steel: Iron Ore & Pellet Sourcing Down 31% M-o-M in Dec'17

Bhushan Steel - a major integrated steel maker has recorded a decline in its monthly iron ore & pellet sourcing in Dec'17. The iron ore and pellet sourcing by the company has witnessed the decline of 30% M-o-M to 0.44 MnT in Dec'17 as against 0.64 MnT in Nov'17.
Bhushan Steel's Iron Ore Procurement fell 26% in Dec'17 -
Iron ore procurement by Bhushan Steel decreased 26% M-o-M to 0.42 MnT in Dec'17 against 0.57 MnT in Nov'17. Out of total procurement, OMC stood the highest supplier to Bhushan Steel with 0.14 MnT contributing 32% of total sourcing by the company, followed by Serajuddin at 0.13 MnT (with 30% share) and Indrani Patnaik at 0.09 MnT. Procurement from Rungta Mines, KJS Ahluwalia, and SN Mohanty also witnessed declined in Dec'17, while sourcing from Mid East Integrated Steel increased in Dec'17.
Bhushan Steel has remained 2nd largest iron ore buyer from Serajuddin Mines in CY17 and procured 1.59 MnT iron ore.
Bhushan Steel's pellet procurement from JSPL witnessed decline-: JSPL (Jindal Steel and Power) continued to supply pellets to Bhushan Steel. Its pellet sourcing decreased by 63% to 6 rakes in Dec'17 against 16 rakes in Nov'17.
