Bahrain: Iron Ore Imports Down Marginally; Pellet Exports Up in Nov'18

Bahrain iron ore imports in Nov'18 witnessed at 1.29 MnT, down marginally on monthly basis as against 1.34 MnT in last month. On yearly basis, imports increased more than two folds in Nov'18 as against 0.48 MnT in Nov'17.
For the duration Jan-Nov'18, total imports witnessed at 8.33 MnT, up 54% as against 5.41 MnT for same duration last year (Jan-Nov'17).
Iron ore Imports from Brazil increased 36% M-o-M
In Nov'18, Brazilian exports to Bahrain recorded at 0.91 MnT, up 36% M-o-M, followed by China at 0.17 MnT Sweden at 0.16 MnT and Turkey at 0.05 MnT.

Bahrain pellet exports up sharply in Nov'18
Bahrain pellet exports in Nov'18 recorded at 1.25 MnT, up more than two folds M-o-M as against 0.52 MnT in Oct'18. Also, on yearly basis, exports depicted significant rise as compared to 0.54 MnT in Nov'17.
Saudi Arabia turns out to be the largest pellets importer from Bahrain in Nov'18
In Nov'18, Saudi Arabia imports recorded at 0.3 MnT up as compared to 0.11 MnT in Oct'18. UAE stood second largest importer at 0.26 MnT followed by Egypt at 0.25 MnT and China at 0.21 MnT.
Indian imports of pellet dropped to 0.1 MnT, down 36% as against 0.16 MnT a month ago.
